Students are continuously encouraged to build their personality by participating in several co-curricular activities like debate, quiz, essay writing, drama, music etc. The enrolled students regularly participate in different technical events like paper presentation, programming contest etc. and bag prizes. Students also organize their annual technical & cultural fest ‘WALTZ’ every year. Renewable Energy Club has been set up with financial assistance of WEBREDA, Govt. of WB. National Service Scheme (NSS) unit is functioning smoothly.

Students’ Activities:

(a)Annual Sports:

Annual Sports is held at University Playground. The students participate in various events.

(b)Technical Day:

Technical Day is observed at UIT campus in each year. Various events like Computer programming competition, quiz, debate, student’s seminar etc. are the main part of the program. Most of the students of UIT take part in the events and make it a successful one.

(c)Cultural Fest:

Annual cultural festival ‘WALTZ’ being organized every year with musical programs including classical and modern songs and choreographies.

(d)Photography Club:

Exhibition of portraits and scenic photographs is being held every year where students and staff members actively participate.

(e)Renewable Energy Club:

The activities of the club are sponsored by WEBREDA, Govt. of West Bengal. Different energy awareness programs and projects in and around the campus is carried out by this club. The institute installed 14 nos. Solar PV Street Lighting System (RA) in collaboration with WEBREDA, Govt of West Bengal to save the energy and create awareness of all walkers.

(f)National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit:

Different social awareness related activities in and around the campus is carried out by members of NSS Unit.
