There are four Boys’ Hostels named ‘Banabas Hostel’, ‘Banabas Hostel (new), ‘Professor Satyendra Nath Bose Boys’ Hostel’ & ‘201 Seated (new) Boys’ Hostel’. Upto 80% of the boys are allotted in the hostels seats. There is a Girls’ Hostel named ‘Madam Curie Girls’ Hostel’. 100% of the girls (except local girls) are allotted in the hostel as per AICTE rules. All the hostels have common rooms with Cable TV and indoor games facilities and internet facilities. Monthly seat rent of Rs.600.00 p.m. is charged. Monthly extras of Rs. 200/- each, has to be paid, for electricity and generator by the hostellers. The first year boys’ hostel is located in a separate campus. Students can avail University Bus services for transport. The hostels are connected through a campus wide network with a fiber optic backbone for internet access.
Twenty-Four Hours Health services are provided to the students through University Health Center. Aside this, service of well qualified doctors is available round the clock through Burdwan Medical College & Hospital, which is the district hospital and situated very near to the institute. Students of UIT can avail Students’ Health Home facilities through the universal membership.
Students are continuously encouraged to build their personality by participating in several co-curricular activities like debate, quiz, essay writing, drama, music etc. The enrolled students regularly participate in different technical events like paper presentation, programming contest etc. and bag prizes. Students also organize their annual technical & cultural fest ‘WALTZ’ every year. Tenewable Energy Club has been set up with financial assistance of WEBREDA, Govt. of WB. National Service Scheme (NSS) unit is functioning smoothly. The institute installed 14 nos. Solar PV Streets Lighting System(RA) in collaboration with WEBREDA, Govt. of West Bengal to save the energy and create awareness of all walkers.

Around 440 PCs, 90 nos. thin clients are available with internet connection through LAN.
All Labs are connected through a campus wide network with a fiber optic backbone.
